EffortCoach is a program designed for coaches and mentors—individuals who may not have management authority or position, however, who still have a dramatic influence on performance. All of the critical coaching and mentoring tools found in the 2-day EffortWorks program are included in this program—all have been aligned to allow non-managing coaches or mentors to be more effective in their role.

EffortCoach is a high-impact coaching development program for individuals who coach and mentor both formally and informally. The target audience includes:

  • Coaches and mentors
  • High-potential employees

EffortCoach includes all of the essentials:

  • Coaching versus coaxing
  • Coaching for decision-making
  • Continuous improvement/learning
  • Coaching for creativity/innovation
  • Reinforcement strategies
  • Diagnosing performance issues
  • Coaching for problem-solving
  • Motivating people

EffortCoach uses a combination of experiential learning exercises, stimulating discussion, and breakout sessions to encourage direct participation and interaction, unleash creativity, open the mind to possibility-thinking—and maximize the learning.

Maximum class size is limited to 32 participants. The EffortCoach program is a 1-day program delivered in the following format:

  • Two half-day modules (each with a specific theme/focus)
  • Each module includes 3 hours and 40 minutes of instructional material plus one 20 minute break (4 hours in total)

  • Identify and communicate the steps necessary to achieve results using the Step It! coaching system.
  • Implement the "inch-by-inch" incremental improvement process.
